Guelph Celtic Orchestra

Fiona McCairley holds an Honours Bachelor Degree in Music from Wilfrid Laurier University. She has been an active member of the Guelph Symphony Orchestra for ten years, as clarinettist.  She is busy teaching privately, playing in a guitar and fiddle duo with Bob MacLean.  She is an award winning fiddler and has taken lessons and workshops with Pierre Schryer, Shane Cook, Karen Reed, Natalie MacMaster and the Leahy's. She and her family can be found at various festivals and fiddle and stepdance contests throughout the summer months.

The membership of the GCO believed that Celtic music and dance was a much needed source of entertainment in Guelph. This has proven to be true, by you, our audience. We thank you for several sold out shows, ceilidh dances, and all the positive feedback.  We are listening to your motivations for coming out, and doing our best to keep on getting better, as well as reaching and retaining a larger audience.

We promise to bring you an even more exciting and spirited selection of tunes and dances to our all ages community in our years ahead.

I look forward to seeing you there!

Stay tuned,

Fiona
